Differences 2/1/11

Things I miss in the U.S.:   (no particular order) 

·         Hard Shell Tacos and Chick-Fil-A   (OK...all fast food in general)            

·         My big shower

·         My Yukon                           

·         Super Wal-Mart                               

·         More than 1 toilet in the house

·         A toilet in the same room as the shower                              

·         The ice maker                   

·         Family and friends

·         Having my own backyard                             

·         Stores being open on Sunday (or 24/7)                 

·         Being able to read,write or speak

·         My king size bed (they don’t sell them here, so we can’t upgrade.)

Things Bryan Misses:

·         “Normal” swim trunks  

·         Riding bikes at the Dismal Swamp with friends

·         His car                                  

·         Spicy food                          

Things we enjoy in France:

·         The wine....ohhh the wine                           

·         The fact that I can walk to the grocery store

·         A smaller “house” to clean                                          

·         The view (not the show)

·         The Open Markets         

·         I GET TO RIDE A SCOOTER EVERYDAY

·         Skype (I see distant friends and family more often now)

·         That Thomas is enjoying his new school                

·         Thomas is eating better

·         Hurricane (style) shutters on the apartment – so quiet & dark ALL the time.

·         Getting to travel to new places.               

·         Meeting new friends

·         Don’t have to mow a yard

·         Bryan’s enjoying his new job
